Founded in 1846 in Madrid, Loewe became a formal house when Enrique Loewe Roessberg joined the cooperative in 1872 and gave it his name. The house earned the Royal Warrant of the Spanish Crown in 1905 and spent over a century producing exceptional leather goods for the Spanish aristocracy and international clientele. Acquired by LVMH in 1996, it was transformed most dramatically when Jonathan Anderson was appointed creative director in 2013.
