Discover our carefully curated selection of pre-owned accessories: jewellery, sunglasses, scarves, belts, small leather goods and rare finds from the world's most celebrated houses. Every piece is hand-evaluated by our team on avenue Louise and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Because great pre-owned accessories are not finishing touches, they are the objects that carry the most concentrated expression of a house's design intelligence in the most personally intimate form.

Our accessories philosophy: why pre-owned, why here, why now

At Les Enfants d'Edouard, our accessories selection is built around a conviction that applies across every category we carry: that the finest accessories ever made are available not in current boutiques but in the pre-owned market, if you know what you are looking at and who to trust to evaluate it on your behalf. A Hermès Clic H bracelet in a discontinued enamel colourway. An archive Chanel camellia brooch from the early Lagerfeld years. A Celine cardholder in box leather from the Phoebe Philo era. A Gucci GG belt in solid-metal buckle from before the house's most recent price revisions. A pair of Celine architectural frames from Philo's SS2015 collection. An Hermès 90 × 90 carré in a rare colourway of a beloved design by Philippe Ledoux. Each of these is made with material quality and design intelligence that its house has not consistently maintained at every subsequent price point, and each is available at secondary market prices that represent genuine value.

We source our accessories from European private clients, collectors and estates; people who bought from boutiques, cared for their pieces, and now offer them to a second owner through us. We authenticate every piece with rigour, grade every piece for condition with honesty, and present our selection in a boutique environment where every piece can be seen, handled and tried in person; the only way to fully evaluate an accessory whose quality is experienced as much through touch as through sight.

Our accessories selection spans the full breadth of the great houses: the French luxury maisons (Hermès, Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, Celine, Cartier), the Italian houses (Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Loewe, Prada), the Belgian design tradition (Delvaux, Dries Van Noten) and the independent specialists (Oliver Peoples, Acne Studios, Lemaire). In every category; jewellery, sunglasses, scarves, belts, small leather goods; we apply the same standard: authenticated provenance, honest condition grading, and the specialist knowledge that allows us to identify what matters and what to avoid.

Our accessories categories

Jewellery

Fashion house signed jewellery and fine jewellery: Hermès Clic H and Kelly bracelets, Chanel camellia brooches and CC earrings, Cartier Love and Juste un Clou, Dior archive brooches and necklaces, YSL Berber pieces and gilded metal, and the contemporary signed jewellery of Loewe, Bottega Veneta and Celine. The most personal and most enduring objects in the luxury accessories wardrobe.

Sunglasses

Archive designer frames and contemporary luxury eyewear: Celine Philo-era architectural frames, Prada conceptual designs from the Miuccia era, Chanel CC-logo and quilted styles, Dior archive frames, Oliver Peoples and Cutler and Gross specialist eyewear. The face's most considered accessory in pre-owned form at genuine value relative to current retail.

Scarves

Hermès silk carrés in archive colourways and designs, Louis Vuitton and Dior printed silk squares, Acne Studios mohair and wool wraps in discontinued colourways, cashmere stoles from Lemaire and The Row, and archive printed scarves from Pucci and the great Italian silk houses. One of the most versatile, most collectible and most design-rich categories in the pre-owned accessories market.

Belts

Logo buckle belts, Hermès H reversibles, classic leather styles, statement hardware and chain belts: the Gucci GG, the Saint Laurent YSL, the Bottega Veneta square hardware, the Chanel chain, the Valentino VLogo. The accessory that punctuates a silhouette with the most concentrated brand identity, available here at secondary market prices that consistently represent genuine value.

Small leather goods

Wallets, cardholders, coin purses, key rings, passport holders and everyday essentials: the Hermès Dogon and Azap wallets, the Bottega Veneta intrecciato cardholder, the Loewe Anagram bifold, the Prada Saffiano long wallet, and the finest small leather goods of the great houses in pre-owned form. The most intimate luxury in the everyday wardrobe, at the most accessible price points in our entire selection.

How we evaluate and authenticate every accessory we sell

Every accessory in our selection undergoes the same rigorous evaluation process before being offered for sale. We apply seven combined criteria without exception.

1. Signature and attribution verification

Every signed piece is identified by its interior stamp, print signature, engraving or hallmark, and attributed to the specific house, product line and era of production. Signatures are cross-referenced against our continuously updated database of verified authentic examples.

2. Material quality assessment

We assess material quality by hand and eye across every category: silk weight and drape for scarves, leather quality for small leather goods and belts, frame material and finish for sunglasses, metal and stone quality for jewellery. Material quality is a primary authentication indicator as well as a condition factor.

3. Construction quality analysis

Stitching regularity, hem finishing, hardware attachment, buckle mechanism quality, zip construction and setting quality for stones, the construction details that reveal the level of craft invested in each piece are assessed throughout our evaluation process.

4. Authentication marker verification

House-specific authentication markers; the Hermès carré's hand-rolled hem, the Chanel jewellery dating code, the Gucci belt's interior stamp, the Cartier serial number; are verified against documented reference examples for each specific house and era.

5. Condition grading

We grade every piece for condition on our consistent scale; Unworn/Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good; and document all condition factors honestly. We never offer a piece for sale without full disclosure of any condition issue, however minor.

6. Functionality assessment

For every accessory, we assess whether it functions as intended for a new owner: buckles that function, zips that close, clasps that hold, hinges that operate smoothly, cards that insert and remove cleanly. A piece that is beautiful but not fully functional is not offered for sale without clear disclosure and appropriate pricing.

7. Design significance and provenance

We assess each piece's connection to significant creative moments in its house's history, its position in the secondary market's most actively collected categories, and any provenance documentation that enriches its historical interest.

Our commitment: at Les Enfants d'Édouard, we guarantee the authenticity and honest representation of every accessory we sell. Every piece comes with our certificate of authenticity, a detailed condition description and 14 days to return if the piece does not meet your expectations.

The houses represented in our accessories selection

Hermès

The most consistently sought-after house in our accessories selection: Clic H and Kelly bracelets in enamel and leather, Chaine d'ancre jewellery, silk carrés in archive colourways and designs, H reversible belts, Dogon and Azap wallets, and the full range of small leather goods in Epsom, Swift and other signature leathers. Every Hermès accessory in our selection has been authenticated against our reference database and certified for condition.

Chanel

Archive jewellery from the Lagerfeld era (camellia brooches, CC earrings, pearl sautoirs, enamel cuffs), classic silk and cashmere scarves, the interlocking CC logo belt in classic leather, and small leather goods from the house's most celebrated periods.

Gucci

The GG and Horsebit belts in a range of widths and leathers, the Tom Ford-era and Alessandro Michele-era archive jewellery, printed silk scarves, and small leather goods in GG Supreme canvas and fine leather.

Celine

With a particular focus on the Phoebe Philo era (2008–2018): architectural sunglasses frames, minimal small leather goods in box and smooth leather, and the considered jewellery and accessories that defined Philo's vision of accessories design: anti-logo, material-led, profoundly contemporary.

Saint Laurent

YSL logo buckle belts, archive jewellery from the Yves Saint Laurent couture era (particularly the Berber and gilded pieces of the 1970s–1980s), silk scarves, and small leather goods from across the house's celebrated creative eras.

Cartier

Love and Juste un Clou bracelets and rings in yellow, white and rose gold, Trinity rings and bracelets, and the archive jewellery of one of the world's great jewellery houses. Every Cartier piece in our selection is authenticated for metal purity, serial number and construction authenticity.

Bottega Veneta

Intrecciato small leather goods (cardholders, wallets, coin purses) from the Tomas Maier era, the Knot and other archive jewellery designs, and the considered accessories of the Daniel Lee period. Bottega Veneta's intrecciato leather goods represent some of the finest craft available at accessible entry price points in pre-owned luxury.

Loewe

Anagram jewellery and small leather goods from the Jonathan Anderson era, printed silk scarves and stoles, and the archive accessories that reflect the house's dual heritage of Spanish craft and contemporary conceptual design.

Acne Studios

Mohair and wool scarves in discontinued colourways, among the most actively traded accessories on the pre-owned market and the house's most consistently collected pieces across its nearly three-decade archive.

The pre-owned accessories investment guide

Pre-owned accessories represent some of the most compelling value propositions in the luxury secondhand market, across every category. Understanding which pieces appreciate, which hold their value and which represent access to genuine craft at accessible prices is essential for anyone approaching the pre-owned accessories market with purpose.

Hermès accessories; particularly Clic H bracelets in discontinued colourways, archive carrés in rare colourways of beloved designs, and small leather goods in Epsom leather; appreciate reliably, driven by limited production, frequent discontinuation and a devoted collector base. Cartier Love and Juste un Clou pieces maintain their value exceptionally well, supported by Cartier's policy of accepting authenticated pieces for servicing regardless of age or original ownership. Chanel jewellery from the early Lagerfeld era (1983–2000) is increasingly rare and increasingly valued. Celine Philo-era accessories have appreciated consistently since Philo's departure in 2018. And across every other category, the principle is consistent: pieces connected to historically significant creative periods, in discontinued designs or materials, in excellent authenticated condition, hold and grow their value most reliably.

For those wishing to sell pre-owned accessories, we offer an expert consignment service across all categories in our selection.

Our accessories selection in Brussels, avenue Louise

Our boutique Les Enfants d'Edouard, 175 avenue Louise, 1050 Brussels, carries a continuously updated selection of pre-owned accessories across all five categories, sourced from European private clients, collectors and estates. We receive new pieces throughout the week.

We welcome you Tuesday to Saturday to browse, handle and try pieces and receive specialist advice. For focused searches; a specific house, a specific category, a specific gift budget or a specific size; we also offer private appointments outside regular opening hours, during which our team can prepare a pre-selected range based on your specific requirements.

Care and maintenance: universal principles for pre-owned accessories

Avoid perfume and chemicals: the single most damaging thing you can do to fashion house jewellery, small leather goods, silk scarves and leather belts is to expose them regularly to perfume, hand cream, cleaning products and perspiration. Apply perfume before putting on jewellery and scarves; remove accessories before applying hand cream; take off leather accessories before contact with water.

Store separately: store every accessory in its individual dust pouch or box. Jewellery in particular should be stored separately to prevent pieces from scratching each other. Scarves should be stored flat or loosely rolled, never folded at the same point repeatedly.

Clean gently and appropriately: clean leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth and condition periodically with products appropriate to the specific leather. Clean jewellery with a soft dry cloth; never with chemical jewellery cleaners on fashion house pieces, which can strip plating. Clean silk scarves by hand in cold water with silk detergent, or dry clean.

Handle with care: enamel chips when struck sharply against hard surfaces; silk snags when caught on rough edges; leather distorts when overstuffed or poorly stored. The most effective maintenance strategy for any luxury accessory is simply careful, considered handling in daily use.

Frequently asked questions about our accessories selection

How do you authenticate the accessories you sell?

We apply a rigorous seven-point evaluation to every piece: signature verification, material quality assessment, construction analysis, authentication marker verification (Hermès hand-rolled hem, Chanel dating code, Cartier serial number, Gucci interior stamp), condition grading, functionality assessment and design significance assessment. Every piece is sold with a certificate of authenticity and a detailed condition description.

What is your condition grading system for accessories?

We grade: Unworn/Mint (no signs of use, as from boutique); Excellent (minimal signs of use, no significant issues); Very Good (light signs of use, any minor issues clearly disclosed); Good (moderate signs of use, all disclosed; appropriate for its age). We never offer pieces below Good condition for sale.

Can I try accessories in person before purchasing?

Yes, we strongly encourage it. Our boutique at 175 avenue Louise is open Tuesday to Saturday. For jewellery and scarves in particular, seeing and handling pieces in person makes a significant difference to the purchasing decision. We recommend booking a private appointment for focused or high-value searches.

Do you accept accessory consignments for sale?

Yes, we operate a full consignment service for accessories from all the houses represented in our selection. Please contact our team through the consignment page for details of our evaluation process and commission structure.

Which pre-owned accessories represent the best value?

Small leather goods represent the single best value proposition; the same material quality as a major house's most expensive bags, at a fraction of the price. Hermès small leather goods in Epsom leather, Bottega Veneta intrecciato cardholders and Loewe Anagram small pieces are particularly outstanding examples. Archive scarves in discontinued colourways and Celine Philo-era sunglasses and accessories also represent exceptional value relative to their design significance and current replacement cost.

What warranty do you offer on pre-owned accessories?

Every piece sold by Les Enfants d'Édouard is guaranteed as described, with a certificate of authenticity for signed pieces and 14 days to return (return shipping costs excluded). Our team remains available for any further assessment or advice on any piece purchased from us.
